What is visKeeper PC?

visKeeper PC is a data safe for easy storage of all your text based private data, like passwords, PINs, bank accounts, ....
At startup visKeeper shows a picture of your choice. You can only access your private data, if you click on certain previously defined spots on the picture in the correct order.

SFR holds a patent on this revolutionary new "Visual Key" technology for authentication and encryption.

Why is visKeeper more secure than other secure information managers?

If you are using a 4-number PIN you have 10.000 different combinations for your password. visKeeper radically increases these combinations, and easily helps you keeping your password in mind.

If you are using a picture with 240x320 pixels (standard screen size of a QVGA pocket PC) and use a "input precision" of 20, then you have more than 1.000.000.000 combinations using only 4 spots in the picture for your password.

3.	Will visKeeper PC run on my PC?
	visKeeper PC runs on PC's with Windows 2000/XP/Vista. Just ask our forum or send an e-mail to our support, if you are not sure.

4.	Is there a maximum number of wrong password inputs for visKeeper?
	No, you can try as long as you like.

5.	I can't remember my password. What can I do?
	If you have forgotten your password, we can't help you either. You can't access your private data any more.

6.	May I use my license for the Pocket PC and Palm version, too?
	Yes. Your license is valid for all three versions of visKeeper (PC/Pocket PC/PalmOS).

7.	Which version of the program is installed on my device?
	In the menu bar of visKeeper select "Help" and then "About". In the following view you will find information about the program version.

8.	How can I get new program versions of visKeeper PC?
	As a registered user you automatically receive an e-mail, if a new version is released. You can download the latest version from our download area.

9.	Which picture formats may I use with visKeeper PC?
	A lot of picture formats are supported, like JPG, GIF, PNG, TIFF. For internal use visKeeper PC converts the picture to JPG format.

10.	What happens if I delete the picture, which I already use as my password picture (visDoor)?
	visKeeper duplicates the picture into a safe area. This means that the original file is not necessary for the protection of your private data.

11.	Why does not visKeeper accept my license?
	Maybe you mistyped the license key. We are able to tell you for which program and version your license is valid if you send it to support@sfr-software.com.

12.	Why do I have to click "Login" in the menu after the input of my visKeeper password?
	If you want to accelerate the login process you may activate "Fast Login" in the program's options. visKeeper will then effect the login automatically with the input of the last point of your password. Keep in mind, that this option reduces the security of your password.

13.	May I use multiple safes on my device?
	Yes. Just save your data file with another filename.
