1.	What is visCrypt?
	visCrypt is a program for encryption of any data files on your Pocket PC and storage cards. At startup you must enter your master passwort, which can be a PIN password, a text password or a picture password. SFR holds a patent on this revolutionary new "Visual Key" technology for authentication and encryption, which is used for the picture password in visCrypt.

Why is visCrypt more secure than other file encryption tools?

If you are using a 4-number PIN you have 10.000 different combinations for your password. visCrypt radically increases these combinations, and easily helps you keeping your password in mind.

If you are using a picture with 240x320 pixels (standard screen size of a QVGA pocket PC) and use a "input precision" of 20, then you have more than 1.000.000.000 combinations using only 4 spots in the picture for your password.

3.	Will visCrypt run on my Pocket PC?
	visCrypt runs on pocket PC's with .NET Framework 1.x service pack 2. Just ask our forum or send an e-mail to our support, if you are not sure.

4.	Can I install visCrypt on an external memory card (e.g. SD card)?
	Yes, you may do so. But we recommend installing security software to RAM.

5.	Is there a maximum number of wrong password inputs for visCrypt?
	No, you can try as long as you like.

6.	Does visCrypt support landscape screens and square screens?
	Yes, visCrypt has been programmed to supprot all kind of screen sizes.

7.	What happens to the picture password if I change into the landscape mode?
	The password is still defined by the same spots in the picture. You may have to use the scroll bars to view all parts of the picture.

8.	I can't remember my password. What can I do?
	If you have forgotten your password, we can't help you either. You can't access your private data any more.

9.	Which version of the program is installed on my device?
	Open the file menu and click on "Info". In the following view you will find information about the program version as well as a brief introduction.

10.	May I use visCrypt, visKeeper and visKey parallel on my device?
	Yes.

11.	How can I get new program versions of visCrypt?
	As a registered user you automatically receive an e-mail, if a new version is released. You can download the latest version from our download area.

12.	Which picture formats may I use with visCrypt?
	JPG, PNG and GIF files are supported.

13.	Can visCrypt show pictures, which are bigger than the usual pictures in the pocket PC format?
	Yes, visCrypt adjusts itself automatically to the size of the chosen picture. There are scroll bars, which allow you to move the picture. The safety of your password increases with the size of the chosen picture!

14.	What happens if I delete the picture, which I already use as my password picture (visDoor)?
	visCrypt duplicates the picture into a safe area. This means that the original file is not necessary for the protection of your private data.

15.	I want a picture filling the whole pocket PC screen, but without scroll bars? What size does the picture need?
	This depends on your pocket PC device: On pocket PC with QVGA display (240x320 pixels) you need a picture with width/height of 240x271 pixels. On a pocket PC with VGA display the sizes increase by factor 2 (480x588 pixels and 480x542 pixels).

16.	Where can I enter my license to register visCrypt?
	Open the file menu an d click on "Info". In the following view click on the menu item "activation code". In the following dialog you can enter your license and activate it by clicking on "OK".

17.	Why does visCrypt not accept my license?
	Maybe you mistyped or you purchased a license for another of our software products. We are able to tell you for which program and version your license is valid if you send it to support@sfr-software.com.

18.	Why do I have to click "Login" in the menu after the input of my visCrypt picture password?
	If you want to accelerate the login process you may activate "Fast Login" in the program's options. visCrypt will then effect the login automatically with the input of the last point of your picture password. Keep in mind, that this option reduces the security of your password.
